I just downloaded Immunet to try it. I clicked on the link to activate it. I have tried to get it to scan, but it keeps telling me ---Immunet Protect is not running. Please restart the Immunet Protect service and retry. I have signed out and closed the program a couple of times and signed back in, but it still says that. How do I get it to run a scan for me?

The first thing I would do if confronted with that situation is pull up Task Manager (press Ctrl,Alt, Delete) and see if agent.exe and iptray.exe processes are running. If all is well there then perhaps it's an internet connection problem. Immunet needs an internet connection to run a scan(the Plus version has offline scanning capabilities). If you have a firewall or other security software in place you might want to check to make sure that something isn't blocking the processes or internet connection required. If all else fails you could try uninstalling, do a through cleaning including the registry and then reinstall. That will give you some things to look into.

Waynetta,

This typically means the product's 'agent' did not start. This often means you have an infection already and the product is being subverted before it can start, by a virus. It could also mean a number of other things which are less nefarious. I would uninstall that version and retry. If it does not work, contact me at alfred@immunet.com and we will take it from there.

Best,

al
