viktor
All, I ENCOURAGE IMMUNET (Oliver, Al, Millard and others) TO BRAINSTORM THIS ISSUE AMONG US AND THEIR PARTNERS AS DIGITAL SIGNATURE & ENCRYPTION ARE VERY IMPORTANT DETAILS IN EMAILING OR PRIVATE CHATTING. THESE MODULES WOULD BE GREAT TO BE IMPLEMENTED ALTOGETHER IN ONE APPLICATION OR SINGLE MODULE PLUG-IN: - COMPLETE EMAIL ENCRYPTION (these programs are not easy to set up, furthermore, there are additional problems that come out during their use within the email clients...the setting process must be re-built because the ordinary users (they are in majority) don't understand the complicated. Let me give an example: In Mozilla Thunderbird (other clients as well) within the account's Settings the OpenPGP Security and the Security settings are two different modules with their settings options. Then when users are in one of these modules they whole certificate importing process is over-complicated as the system stores the certificates in place what is unknown to them. ...or i deliberately checked the descriptions about the Security Keys and it's not univocal how to implement them in use (everything is over-complicated, again...to much written info that confuses the end-users). The whole Encryption and Digital Signature setting would be done with the hints from the System that if you use this, then you don't need that or vice versa. - DIGITAL SIGNATURE HANDLING WITH SIGNATURES ACQUISITION & VALIDATION i know that this particular request is a huge work but would worth to implement: IT WOULD BE PRACTICAL IF IMMUNET WOULD HAVE A BUILT IN MULTI IM CHAT MODULE OR, IMMUNET COULD ENABLE THE COMMUNICATION FOR THOSE USERS WHO HAVE REGISTERED WITHIN THE PERSONAL COMMUNITY MODULE (NOT HERE IN THE FORUM) OR, TO SEND MESSAGES TO THE IMMUNET OR HAVE AN IMMUNET HOT-LINE LIKE MESSAGE SENDING CLIENT. THE VISIBLE, AWAY OR BUSY MODES ARE NOT NECESSARY, JUST SIMPLE MESSAGING CLIENT, IF YOU DON'T WANT MULTI IM. - COMPLETE ANTI-SPAM (well, cloudmarkdesktopone is very good but it would worth to solve this issue within the house because - just think - if one company merges with another, they get a new from their approach business with its technology, which in most cases must be re-written or "syncronized" with the obtainer's technology, which in most cases results buggy application/s) I am ready to be involved in this and assist Immunet to develop this extra for the sake of the Immunet Community. I would appreciate any further ideas. Vik

Here are my thoughts: 1. Email Encryption I love PGP (I have never used OpenPGP) and use it to encrypt and sign my own email. I have used it for years, in fact I used to work a few offices down from the PGP team in the 90's. I also have a deep appreciation for how tough it is to do right and I think encrypted email is attractive to a small group of users. I am not sure we could do it and really compete right now because it would defocus us quite a bit given it's difficulty. 2. Chat Crypto I like that idea - quite a bit. There is some interesting stuff you can do there. It's something we will look at for our road map. That means it will be measured against other requested features and voted on internally. Right now our road map is full through July 2011 and is solely focused on continuing to drive detection strength. 3. Anti-Spam We will absolutely have to do this - I expect we would do something in 2011. al al
