Restart Immunet Protect Service

Recommended Posts

Guest Mature

I was testing Immunet process by trying to kill the iptray.exe and agnet.exe with other tools, then i find that if both of them are killed i cannot restart agent.exe by double clicking the shotcut of Immunet on desktop, only iptray will start and main view shows immunet is not connected and cannot fix it.

Sure i can restart Immunet Protect Service manually then agent.exe runs again, but isn't it better iptray start this service automatically?

Maybe you guys don't have to set Immunet Protect Service "restart if service is stoped",but people don't like to reboot just for running immunet again.

Regards,

Mature

I agree with you, and I think Immunet need new self-protection module

But they said they made a "Self-Protect" driver... Hmmm???

eee...sorry i didn't make that clear.

Immunet does have self-protection i think normal R3 level kills won't work,i killed immunet with ARK tools ;)

Protecting process from being killed by ARK tools is hardly possible,i just "torture" it :P

Why be so evil against immunet, mature? :P

hehe~lots of virus anti-AV,they kill AV processes, delete AV files,Image hijack AV etc.

Anyway...it's like a war between AV and virus~and i'm enjoy it

Hi! I'm a Clam AV user. Liked that it was open source, usually pirate "teh new hotness" but felt like giving her a go.

Got it installed and get this error message (Win7) "You Can Not Scan at This Time" (interesting use of capital letters!) Please restart this service yada yada. Anyway, turn to Google. Type that sucker in, get this thread. Now this is a bit of a pissoff, some guy's testing something, screws up. Other guy get's confused and it's at the top of Google.

Dear Clam AV, you need a PR person. Let me write it in. Or hire someone, I dunno, dashing.

Anyway, so it doesn't work... looked into what it is, virus definition update tool. So it goes on the internet and asks everyone what a virus is then fixes it, cool! But I didn't find like a website with a little app or a howto on how to get it started up. Sad and a little scary, anyway someone can log in here and just post a link to the fix. Wish I coulda found it.

Toodles.
