sweidre
Virus Total Using Google Chrome I have today added an extention called "Virus Total". Many AntiVirus- & AntiMalwareproducts are contributing in the Virus Total Project to fight malwares and malicious sites! Why has not Immunet offered to participate? Immunet should now be seen in many different projects to be more well-known out there! More about Virus Total can be read at this site: http://www.virustotal.com/about.html Cheers, sweidre

markusg
hi. i think more vendors as listed at vt getting malware. so this means, immunet is not listed in the scan results, but i think they get malware from vt.

sweidre
hi. i think more vendors as listed at vt getting malware. so this means, immunet is not listed in the scan results, but i think they get malware from vt. Thanks for the link sweidre, VT looks like a nice extra safety net with an EASY attachment checker (which is a cool feature.) I'm not using Chrome, so I downloaded the windows version. Hi markusg & Dave Mc, I have downloaded & installed "VT Uploader" into my computer. It does not look nice & help files are missing (see instead VT home page for more info), but it works and fast! It accepts not folder for uploading, but max. 5 files at a time. Immunet has earlier reported, that my software folder "CleanMyPC-Registry Cleaner 64-bits"has 2 infected files, but all my other installed AVs & AntiMalwares accept them. Anyhow, I uploaded the 2 files to "VT Uploader", that quickly reported, that only "ClamAV" regarded the files as infected including infection names! That was expected, because, as far as I know, ClamAV & Immunet share the same databases!? Correct me, if I'm wrong! So, we can say, that Immunet is already represented by ClamAV within the VT project!? Immunet & ClamAV has both strong heuristic detection. Immunet has scored well in detection (see M.Richters You Tube Video) , but a too advanced heuristic detection might give many "false positives" . That is now the backside of Immunet and must be addressed, maybe in another topic (or thread)! False Posives can be a disaster, if files will be removed from the Operating System! False Postives in applications ouside the OS are not disasters, because the respective product applications can pretty easy be installed again, OK, with a minor hickup, if the Uninstaller file is removed! Millions of people around the world use this sites! than immunet is more well-known out there and the community is growing up! Hi Matthias, Studying http://virscan.org/about.php , I found VirScan to be very similar to Virus Total, with many (the same?) AV- & Antimalware products participating (also here ClamAV) . As I wanted to have a software intalled in my computer, I went for VT Uploader (Virus Total) only. (See post on this thread!) VirScan has no software to download. The site: http://virusscan.jotti.org/ was not available now, due to maintenance. The site: http://www.filterbit.com/ has no software to download, and if other AV- or AntiMalware products were participating were not told. The site had no info- links, so I skipped this. Then I saw, that Dave Mc downloaded & installed a software from Virus Total (VT Uploader), so I followed suit and did the same! Then I found, that the other two (three?) sites were almost the same as VT, but offered no software for the users. My minds changed from "Immunet support" to "software downloading". That why my comments confused You a bit! Verscheidigung! Wir haben doch die selbe Meinung von Immunet!! Cheers, sweidre
Guest Orlando
We had something planned. Some people had said this to us in private, I believe that the decision is from Alfred, however we are aware of this. Regards, Orlando

Some people had said this to us in private, I believe that the decision is from Alfred, however we are aware of this. Regards, Orlando Hi Orlando, I´m glad to hear, that the staff will maybe promote Immunet a bit further out there! But, I hope that Immunet will at the same time concentrate upon its own homework: "Bugfixing and further improvement of the attractiveness of Immunet". Bugfixing, improvement, testing & marketing must be all be done in parallell! Cheers, sweidre

Orlando that becomes expensive and not simple! Single-Tests are available allways, but the Maintests are not simple to insert!
