Hi Falcon, I tested once Panda Cloud together with Immunet FREE, and they accepted each other! But Panda did not meet my requirements, so I uninstalled it. I tried Hitman Pro instead (cloud-based) and very fast. I have Hitman now, that fastly scans my computer in the background at every computer startup! Immeadiately Hitman & Immunet FREE made friends! Hitman runs on-demand (NOT real-time) whereas Immunet runs real-time. Prevx is cloud-based AND runs real-time. Immunet and Prevx play VERY nicely together. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As to Kingsoft -- it is VERY weak, both reactively & proactively. See tests HERE and HERE (d/l Nov PDF). Ergo . . . Kingsoft:Immunet :: Yugo:Mercedes

Ergo . . . Kingsoft:Immunet :: Yugo:Mercedes Hi Bellgamin, You are both right & wrong here. Hitman is some sort of hybrid! In the respective computer Hitman does not store any virus- or malwaredatabase subject to updating. Hitman is not working real-time but scans the computer on demand (in my case at computer startup). Hitman uses then first of all behaviour analysis, and when it finds any suspicious file, it will be sent up to the cloud- based database for comparison. Then Hitman will give the computer user a report. Below is an extract of the homepage of Hitman: http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro ================== Start of extract =========================================================== Behavioural Scan SurfRight has done an extensive research of malware files to determine the common characteristics (behaviour) of malware. The Hitman Pro client uses this research in its Behavioural Scan, when it scans the computer for virus activities or suspicous files that have the characteristics of malware. Click here for more details about the Behavioural Scan. Scan Cloud For the files that are classified as suspicious, the Hitman Pro client sends a request to the Scan Cloud for confirmation if these files are indeed malicious. The Scan Cloud is a cluster of multiple computers, residing on the Internet. The Scan Cloud will respond to this request with the answer: Safe Malicious Unknown When the file is unknown, the Hitman Pro client uploads the file to the Scan Cloud where the file is scanned using the anti virus programs of 5 different vendors. Each of these anti virus programs analyzes the file and responds with "safe" or "malicious". Click here for more details about the Scan Cloud. ==================End of extract =========================================================== Cheers, sweidre
falcon
Thanks Bellgamin & Sweidre for sharing your experience. Both the software suggested by you'll are paid ones. I tried Kingsoft but didnt like its dominating nature on my system, so had to uninstall. Though I have Avira Antivir Desktop antivirus, but not using it coz it makes my pc slow. Guess I have to do with just Immunet right now and wait for some light but reliable cloud antivirus like immunet to make my system more secure. duncan
just go with Microsoft Security Essentials and Immunet and a decent firewall, you would be better off than most..
