ritchie58
If you use Panda Cloud AV Pro with IMP and got deactivated recently it's because after some routine maintenance of their servers a bunch of people got their accounts inadvertently deactivated. I was into just two months of a one year activation when this happened. I got a red x over the icon and the program became nonfunctional. Panda was telling me my account expired and I needed to purchase an additional license activation code. I was thinking at the time, what the f@#k! So I went to their support forum and saw numerous users experiencing the same situation. According to Panda Security they got the issue sorted out so if this happened to you just uninstall and reinstall Panda and enter your activation code again. After that you should be good to go. jj1two3
Thanks for the information ritchie58. The same thing happened to me I uninstalled mine. I will reinstall and see what happens.
ritchie58
This is a prime example of the importance of keeping your activation codes for paid software in a safe place just in case.
bellgamin
It is also a prime example of why Panda products are a tad too unreliable for an IT to install on the net he administers -- that is, if he values his job.
ritchie58
I can't speak for the other Panda products since I'm not real familiar with them but I've been using the cloud AV since it's beta version and this is the first real major snafu I have run into so far in over a year of use. As with any newer software, including Immunet, the teething pains of quirks and unexpected behavior can happen. What makes the difference is how quickly and to what degree the vendor is willing to expend their resources in rectifying problems as they are detected for the benefit of the end user. davemc@mail.com
Hey ritchey: I really like the new avitar better than your other one
ritchie58
I was wondering when and if someone would comment on that! LOL! I changed my avitar in recognition that Immunet was still watching my 6 after Panda screwed up. The layered approach definitely proved to be beneficial in this situation. For anyone not knowing what "watching my 6" means: It's an old military term that's still used today. It means, "I've got your back covered!"
