falcon
The scan now button on Immunet is disable, with a message that Immunet protect is not running, restart the service and retry. I did restart but the scan now is still disabled. Please help.
Guest Orlando
Free or Plus? Open Task Manager (ctr+shift+esc) and check if agent.exe an iptray.exe are running, check if the Immunet service and TETRA service (if you have the Plus version) are automatic and are running. Have you got IE 9 BETA? Solutions: restart Windows and Immunet, if it doesn't work you will say me the results. Orlando

Agent.exe was not running in process (task manager), so had to go to services and start it (Immunet) manually. The scan now is now enabled. Guest Ken
All this malfunction seems to be related to Immunet being bought out by Sourcefire? I will invest 5 more minutes on top of the hour I've spent so far trying to get this to work. After that, I'm ditching Immunet! Immunet's support forum has spam posts all over it pushing various male enhancement products. Some of these Spam posts are 3 days old and are STILL up!!! Either Sourcefire? is the source of this spam, or Immunet's effectiveness and willingness to get rid of this garbage has failed! Too bad, but I don't have time for this BS!!! ritchie58
Ken, I very highly doubt that the trouble you're having has anything to do with Sourcefire. As far as the spam concerning male enhancement products? I browse and/or post on this forum almost everyday and I have not seen the spam posts you mention. It's a little hard for a staff member to help you if you fail to post exactly what type of problem you are having. MMM? Your AV's not working and your getting spam. A malware infection can cause both your AV to quit working or newly installed security software to be nonfunctional and getting unsolicited popups and spam is another sign of infection. I could be wrong. Maybe it's just a firewall setting or other security software blocking agent.exe or iptray.exe both of these processes must be running and have internet access for IMP to work. ritchie58
That's odd. I made a small edit to the post and now there's two of them. Never seen that happen before.
falcon
Well the service is set to automatic, but it still does not start giving error 1067. I dont want to update Internet Explorer coz it gives lot of problem. I use other browser like firefox and Opera. By the way, why should Immunet be dependent on IE upgrade. Immunet not depend from IE but I think it depend by ActiveX and FlashPlayer, if they are updated Immunet will work better. The possible cause is Opera, try to uninstall it. I did not receive the spam directly, I just thought it was odd that it was sitting there for days in what appeared to be an Immunet discussion/support forum. I scanned with Hijackthis and found nothing unusual. I do appreciate you offering some solutions, I'm not ready to run yet.

Spam has invaded all Forum, but now there isn't, so what's the problem with Immunet? I'm grateful to help you for remove possible malware or for fix any problems, I can analyse your log if you want. Have you got another browser from IE or Firefox? Have you got a firewall which block Immunet to acces to the cloud? Regards, Orlando
