UI Concepts

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I just have some free time to play with UI concepts - so I came up with these artistic prototypes. What do You Guys think? Any thoughts?
My goal was to keep current functionality -> development, not a revolution.

Regards, Marcin

Some interesting images you created Marcin! The third, darker UI or something similar in design would get my vote.

Thank you, let me make one more example.

Yeah, I especially like the CPU & memory bar graphs better on this one! Plus the illuminated Scan Now & Update Now buttons have a somewhat three-d effect which is a nice touch too.

Great job on all of those examples Marcin!

Just out of my own curiosity what software program are you using to create these images? I doubt you used the very basic, limited functionality, Windows Paint. Adobe Photoshop maybe?

Thank You, I prefer Adobe Photoshop, but these effects can be easily achieved in free GIMP, or even in Inkscape which is considered to be vector software.

Here is a semi transparent option: https://imgur.com/a/VGMWiBf

Hi Andrew & Happy Thanksgiving!

I agree it has been a while since Immunet had any major changes to the UI.

Something I would really like to see incorporated into the Settings is the ability to up-scale the resolution for users that have 4k screens to make it more easily readable in the first place, besides any cosmetic stuff.

Cheers, Ritchie...

The shading on the first picture is good. The other two, eh... They lack ethical good looking UI, e.g the Windows 7 Aero UI, it's not too shiny or too 3D. A solid color with little to no shading irritates me, but I respect you for contributing. The effort you put into those three are nice. I forgot to mention the fourth picture you sent, that's good too.

I like your 1st and 4th designs, because they are not too flat. There's a bit of 3D in them. What I really like about all of these designs is the changes really aren't too radical, and in all of these mockups, the program is instantly recognisable as Immunet. I don't mind designs 2 and 3, but personally I think they're a little too flat and so-called "modern ui" for my taste, and I also worry that the textured background will eventually start to look dated. I'd still welcome any of your designs though!
