m0unds
has anyone run into an interface corruption issue in Windows 7 x64 (or any other os) wherein the immunet pro UI flashes white while scanning, each time it updates the last file scanned? I thought it might be related to my graphics adapter's driver, but it continues to do it even after updating it. It only affects the main UI. attached a screenshot of the affected element

alfred
Have you got IE 9 beta? Orlando That would have been my question as well, we do not support IE9 yet.
m0unds
i do have it installed (having to do some QA testing with work-related nonsense in ie9) - i'll just ignore the flashing for now thanks!
alfred
i do have it installed (having to do some QA testing with work-related nonsense in ie9) - i'll just ignore the flashing for now thanks! We should really build out support for it (IE9) but I want to wait until they get it out of beta officially. Our UI relies on some of the IE components so even having it installed will cause the issue you are seeing. We ship 3.0 on February 15, we will likely release an in-line right after that for IE9 and two other features. al

alfred
right on. do you guys have any documentation re: changes/fixes/improvements for 3.0 or is it still too much of a WIP to disclose? There are quite a few changes to the product for 3.0 and most are aimed at improving protection by enhanced detection and adding a full offline engine you can rely on when not connected to the Internet. I will post in a few days (,aybe a week) with a detailed list as we approach release. Essentially we made no real changes to the UI but changed a lot of other items making the product even more effective. I am waiting on one feature to be press released before I can announce it but I can say we are going to ship a fully functional offline engine which will allow users (ALL users - it will be free) to protect themselves when not connected. This engine will be the first Windows AV product in the industry which allows for people to write full blown AV sigs for their own use in a variety of formats which range from quite simple (like straight hashing) to quite complex (like bytecode sigs or chained logical sigs). I am very excited about this release. Cheers, al
