Thanks guys! We really should have the uninstaller modified to completely remove the product appropriately. The cases where it fails are awkward for users. I really appreciate you building this third party tool to make up the deficiency for us. I commit to having this built native for 4.0. Our 3.0 version will ship February 15, 4.0 will start right after that.

I have read your email (dos applications are ugly) so I'm working on something in VB about a removal tool (I don't know if we need with the version 3)... in the future (if there are some bugs, as restart the service) I have an idea about an "Immunet Fix Tool" (it's just an idea for the moment).

Sooo ... does 3.0 need the removal tool? It is not clear (to me) within this thread.

Removal tool is for "1- Immunet Protect 2.0.17.31 (the last)"

"I commit to having this built native for 4.0. Our 3.0 version will ship February 15, 4.0 will start right after that." says (to me) will be native for 4.0.

Hi,

Sorry, now I'll update the thread. I haven't tested this tool on Immunet 3, but this not need a removal tool, it's an adjunction.

But Immunet 3 is based mainly on Immunet 2 so the removal tool should work.

I made an account specially to warn you guys.

I downloaded this from the link. AVG found a "Trojan horse BackDoor.Generic13.AANN" within the download. Moved it to virus vault.

Not entirely sure what this means, but I'm not downloading anything from this guy anymore.

I have made it personally and I can say that it is totally safe. I have already informed all the firms that detect it, but nobody answered me. They ignored me, so I only can tell all to put it into the exclusions.

You can see also that the VT community said that it is safe: http://www.virustotal.com/file-scan/report.html?id=8c00a3976eda574056f8b944e3aac85a638fc8d5c15180e656d3b8a489d4cebf-1322915550 but a lot of firms untrust it. In any way there isn't problem with the Heuristic of products, but the definition is the problem because after the first detect (as Backdoor, this is unbelivable) of one AV, others detected it without any verifications.

Another point that want you to trust it is that Bitdefender find it as malware but the TETRA (Bitdefender definitions) engine of Immunet says that this is safe, so it is trusted by Immunet team.

You would have been better off starting a new topic in the "Ideas" section instead of posting a new thread to an old topic. Also, I deleted your duplicate thread. Please refrain from posting duplicate data.

just that my bitdefender and immunet having some conflicts together and i cant find an easy-go-to solution for this uninstall.  :(

Under these circumstances it definitely would have been better if you had posted a new topic in the Support (Issues/Defects) section. That being said, if you're having issues with Immunet's built in uninstaller have you tried a good third-party uninstaller like Revo Uninstaller? http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html Also, here is a link to a Support topic that has some good info on how to best use Revo Uninstaller. http://support.immunet.com/index.php?/topic/3133-help-stuck-in-limbo/

Other users have reported install/uninstall issues with the 5.0 build so you are not alone encountering this bug. I have reported this bug a while ago but haven't heard any official response concerning this issue. Rather frustrating!

Regards, Ritchie...
