Restore Quarantine Viruses Is Taking Too Long

Recommended Posts

Just as a subject. When user wants to restore file form quarantine it's taking too long. Only way so far is to press Restore and Close. Then return to Quarantine and do it again with another file.

Serpher,

Does it consistently take a long time or is it mostly when your system is busy?

Armin,

It usually increases disk I/O speed, but we've got to find out what the root of the issue is. I think the message from the agent back the UI gets lost sometimes and the UI is designed to timeout if it doesn't get a message back from the agent.

This could be the users PC fault, or a bug between the Agent and UI?

@Millard

It happens every time when I want to restore a file. AJAX loader shows up and then I must wait God knows how long. It's annoying. The method I wrote above is much quicker but that will no solve the problem.

@Armin

I think the bug is in Immunet Tray, 'cause this process controls UI.

//EDIT

Oh, I forgot to mention: Deleting the file also takes a quite long time. Maybe its because this AJAX loader.

Hi,

I presume, that you have already done the following setups, have you?

Settings -> Quarantine Behaviour -> On Detection of Malicious Files -> Ask me

Settings -> Quarantine Behaviour -> On Detection of Suspicious Files -> Ask me

Cheers,
