Woodrow
Hi guys! If I choose to install the free version without the Clam engine, will I still get the same protection if I am connected to internet at all times? /W

Woodrow
The same protection as version 2.0 Orlando I guess I have to be clearer, do I have the same protection from the "cloud" engines as if I did install the free version with "clam engine" locally? Permanent internet connection. /W
Guest Orlando
Actually ClamAV is based on definitions, so you need to update it every day (it's automatic). Check if the engine is "on" in the settings. Orlando
Woodrow
I am sorry Orlando but you do not get what I am asking. Anyone else who does? /W
WinDefend
The free version of Immunet 3.0 will be using the clamAV engine AND the cloud-based engine. The clam engine will be installed regardless whether you want it or not. However, it can be disabled from the settings menu and I think it is disabled by default. Like in the paid version of 2.0, the clamAV engine will provide offline protection when you lose access to the internet and it might work even when you have internet connection (who knows?). As for the paid version of Immunet 3.0, it will provide both clamAV and tetra for offline protect but you might want to keep one of them disabled because of higher resource usage (means it will leave a larger footprint). On a 1GB netbook or lower-powered machine you shouldn't use both for offline protection, unless it is a desktop or high-powered notebook with at least 2GB of RAM. There might be stability or compatibility issues (not saying there is) with other programs if you use both, so be cautious. Regards,

If I choose to install the free version without the Clam engine, will I still get the same protection if I am connected to internet at all times? /W You will get all of the cloud based engines but the Clam engine does have additional protections/detections which the Cloud may not have. They are meant to be complimentary. al
