WinDefend
Has the "flashy" ad banner (not the ugly ad banner in the UI) removed from the free version in 3.0? I've had trouble with closing it out since I use a netbook and so I uninstalled it. Also, what is now the difference between the free and paid versions? Guest Orlando
1- I believe this change will not happen; 2- Read this page for understand the differences between Free and Plus version. Orlando
WinDefend
Alfred already announced that the free version will have offline protection using the ClamAV engine, and some other things. So that little comparison chart does me no good right now. I said 3.0, not 2.0. Duh. So that flashy ad banner will remain there and ruin my netbook's performance (freezes screen for bit, screen is small it is hard to click "close")? Gee, I am so grateful. *sigh* Oh well, thanks for replying anyways. Note: If you guys haven't removed those spam posts from the Immunet blog, you should. I set up shadow defender and started clicking away at the spam links. CAUTION! Some of those links contain malware and/or are phishing sites. A few were legit sites, but I suggest that nobody is to trust those sites until you do the correct amount of research.
Guest Orlando
Same product, it's only added ClamAV. Orlando

I think what Orlando was saying is, as you note, the chart holds for 3 with the obvious addition of Offline. I am not sure which flashy banner you are referring to? I cannot see the banners slowing down your netbook. If it's slowing down it the program itself. Take a look at the task bar and let me know what's consuming the CPU or ram which is making it seize up. Could possibly be a file locking conflict as well. al
Guest Orlando
I think he said about the banner on the right. Orlando
WinDefend
I think he said about the banner on the right. Orlando M'hm. And its not that I think Immunet is slowing my netbook down (which it isn't), its just that the banner (on the right) is giving me problems plus it is annoying. I am wondering if it has been removed in 3.0.
