VictorZ
Has anyone else encountered this? I've updated from V2 to V3, and now a strange (blank) message box from Immunet appears in the upper right corner [correction, should be "upper left hand corner"] of my screen whenever the system boots. I have to click on the box to make it disappear. Version 2 didn't do anything like this. Is this a known problem? A bungled installation? Or something else? Thanks in advance
Guest Orlando
It's probably a bug, but it's probably present a malware on boot. Try to do a full system scan. Orlando

VictorZ
@ Orlando, Full scan conducted, nothing found to indicate an infection ... as expected. I'm well versed in protection and take strong precautions (with this, my main/work system) but before dismissing your suggestion out of hand, I thought I would do as requested. I run a separate, sandboxed system for unsavory surfing, playing games, etc. etc.. @ DGWilkie, Glad to hear I'm not alone in this matter. FWIW and as a help in tracking things down, I'm also running Windows 7, 64bit on this machine. Oh, and I just realized I mis-typed in my original post and should have said "Upper Left Hand Corner" ... same as Orlando, not upper right. I'll go back to edit original post if possible. duncan
Could be a registry conflict or corrupt instalation, run a good registry repair program, and if you going to re-install use revo uninstaller first.. (this is a guess - not gospel)

(this is a guess - not gospel) Same problem as VictorZ and DGWilkie on Win 7 both 32 and 64 bit systems. Already done the re-install, registry check and run full scans. Wish I could find V2.17 (without registering at some questionable site) while they work this out.
Guest Steve
I am having exactly the same problem with this blank window on boot. I am running Windows Ultimate 64 and after doing a complete re-installation on a new disk it is still there. It doesn't seem like a malicious file or virus but it is annoying. Also the Immunet notices in the bottom right hand corner do not disappear as they use to unless I manually click them away. I would love to go back to version V2 because it just did its job with no hassle.

That's good to hear. Thank you Alfred. If you want any testing done on a beta, etc. just send me an email and I'll be happy to help out. VictorZ
@ Alfred, Some more fat for the fire. I've just installed Immunet Free V3 in a Virtual Machine on my system -- Windows XP (SP3) running under Oracle's Virtual box. The same strange pop-up on boot behavior is noted here as well. This was a clean install on this VM, not an upgrade from version 2. Obviously, this is XP, not Windows 7 as on my main/host system. However, they both have MSE and Threatfire installed. There are no other resident (ie. runs at boot time) virus/malware programs on either system. Other than the fact that the host is Win7 X64, no other correlation between the two. I note that the others who've chimed in on this thread were, along with myself, all running various flavors of X64 Win7. If the problem isn't being seen in X86 installations, then it may be an X64 strangeness but it is odd that it is appearing in an X86 virtual machine. Anyhow, hope the 3.1 version fixes it as you (and I) hope, but I thought this additional bit of info might be of interest/help. VictorZ
