millard@immunet.com 124 Report post Posted July 6, 2010 Hi everyone I'm kinda new here(beta tested IMP 2 ), Is clamav still supported on the IMP forums? Also when does Immunet plan(if they do)on working with clamav on the new features in Immunet 2.0? Buttons, yes ClamAV is still supported by the IMP forum. We're working a 2.0 version now, but there are a lot of items to be completed before we release. I don't have an ETA yet. --Millard

Mike 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2010 Where will we get informed, if the new version is released? On Clamav.net, here on immunet or on both pages? And by the way, maybe it would be useful to have a separate section for ClamAV on this forums (for being able to give better support for it) and also any information about ClamAV on the main page, because otherwise it is difficult for newcomers to get knowledge of its existence. Thanks for a reply!

Thanks for a reply! Mike, good questions. So in short, we will announce in both places. Also, we will start a Forum for ClamAV for Windows here when it rolls out. The Clam 2.0 product is ready to go, right now we are waiting on branding items and on getting our localization work out so that Clam can be in the new languages that we plan to ship in ( http://forum.immunet.com/index.php?/forum/5-translations/ ). It will hopefully ship within 2 weeks. Best, al

millard@immunet.com 124 Report post Posted July 20, 2010 How do I scan mycomputer, drives, folders and files by ClamAV? Any help! With the current version of ClamAV For Windows, you cannot. It only detects on copy. With the new one expected first week in August, you will be able to select drivers to scan. --Millard

millard@immunet.com 124 Report post Posted August 10, 2010 Any news? We've run into a few unexpected quirks in the product that has to do with text changes for the "ClamAV for Windows" branding. I think we've gotten all the branding information and now just need to implement them. The versions of the product I've tested look pretty good, so hopefully the brand changes don't take too long. I don't have a confirmed release date yet. --Millard

alfred 21 Report post Posted August 19, 2010 I know they will diverge in the future but aren't they the same now? They are the same today, the divergence is coming in the winter. I cannot say much about it but both the Clam team and we are building new technologies together as a team, they will be unveiled in version 3.0 which ships in November or thereabouts. al

buckslayr 3 Report post Posted August 26, 2010 Hi Al, I've got a friend using clamav. Will clamav be getting the 2.0.15 update, his version is 2.0.14.139?
grahamperrin 1 Report post Posted August 30, 2010 Will clamav be getting the 2.0.15 update, his version is 2.0.14.139? I read somewhere that automatic updates to 2.0.15 may not occur immediately, but will occur soon. In the meantime, a download of the installer from Immunet will result in 2.0.15 or greater. Immunet and ClamAV will be identical (including the signatures of viruses) up to version 3.0 Immunet and ClamAV are identical, engines, interfaces and signatures. All the same, changing only the mark. — so I guess that automatic updates for users of the ClamAV for Windows-branded product will be no later than automatic updates for the Immunet-branded product. millard@immunet.com 124 Report post Posted August 30, 2010 ClamAV for Windows 2.0.14.139 has all the fixes that were included in 2.0.15. You'll see jumps where the ClamAV for Windows version will be higher than Immunet and some below. You'll see similar for different languages of Immunet and ClamAV for Windows depending on the state where we release the translation. We'll probably change the release process a dozen times before we come up with something we're happy with, but expect scattered versions between products and languages. --Millard
