sweidre
Hi, As Sourcefire owns both Immunet Protect and ClamAV, how will the future marketing strategy be? 1.) Three separate products - a.) Immunet Protect Free, b.) Immunet Protect Plus and c.) ClamAV 2.) Two separate products - a) Immunet Protect Free and b.) a combination of Immunet Protect Plus and ClamAV wirh one single new name 3.) One product only - a combination of Immunet Protect Plus and ClamAV wirh one single new name 4.) ??????? As company economy has the highest priority, product(s) development will be performed in accordance with the chosen marketing strategy, not vice versa! Rob.T
Hi Sweirdre, you've pretty much plotted the roadmap for where we plan to go with Immunet. #1 and #2 was the release of Immunet 1.x and then Immunet/ClamAV 2.x, #3 is Immunet 3.0 (the current release), and #4 will be our upcoming Enterprise product due out later this year - at that point there might be some marketing strategy changes, though I'm really just speculating. Hi RobT, Thanks for your reply! The upcoming Enterprise product (shareware, I suppose) is an interesting prospect, but I think it needs a front runner for personal use only = Immunet Protect Free! This is my speculation. By the way, as this forum is open for public view, it is better to move/hide this thread with company secrets: "marketing & product development" into "Immunet Insiders" category.
