sweidre
Hi all, There is an interesting article at CNET about a Firefox Add-on called "Cocoon". "Wrap Firefox in a Cocoon of privacy" http://download.cnet...rb_content;main Cocoon is using ClamAV. Unfortunately Cocoon is a shareware USD 6.95/month or USD 55:-/year, but the article with comments below should be read anyhow! It works for FF3.6 and FF4. A version for IE9 is under development. Cheers, sweidre
Kyle
Sounds like a rip off in my opinion, You could just use sandboxie
ritchie58
Yeah I saw that add-on being mentioned a few days ago at CNET. The add-on, when activated, diverts all your internet traffic while using Firefox through their secure servers. I guess you could call it a kind of fancy proxy service. For anyone thinking about trying it, be advised that it will install a toolbar in your browser.
Kyle
There are lots of proxies, some free. I don't recall them mentioning why their's is better than others and worth the money.
ritchie58
Good point Kyle. They say that the connection is by a SSL protected service to and from their servers. I have no plans to try it since I hate extra toolbars and really don't have a need to use a proxy service.

Hi, Same here! I have enough with security softwares (virtual layer & sandboxie) and will not pay for something not needed! But to forward info about new sofwares or extensions is good, then it is up to the individual user to decide him-/herself! Cheers, sweidre
