WacoJohn
Unless I have just missed it, the product Immunet 3.0 needs EXIT/QUIT/CLOSE .. or PAUSE .... or SUSPEND or something. 3.0 is about the only product I have installed that has no EXIT ... (that I know of) .. and I am sorta uncomfortable with that. Once you install it, .. you live with it .. unless you uninstall it. Needs to be capable of shutting down if one so chooses. Hi WacoJohn, I agree with you! Sometimes when updating other softwares, both firewalls & AVs should have the option to be inactivated in order to get the updates entered properly into the computer and properly installed! Firewalls & AVs activated can really cause a disorder in your computer when installing updates. To have the opportunity to disactivate the firewalls & AVs is advisable, when you really trust the supplier, for example: Patches from Microsoft and others. I have ESET Smart Security (Firewall+AV+Spamfilter) and Immunet Protect Free; Both ESET & Immunet are lacking EXIT/QUIT//PAUSE or SUSPEND button. Regarding ESET I can disable some blocking functions and/or fill in exclusion lists, that's all! The icon of ESET is then turning into a warning "yellow" color. Regarding Immunet Protect I can temporarily under Settings -> Protection -> Monitor Program Install ->Off and Settings -> Protection -> Monitor Program Start->Off disable Immunet completely. When my important Microsoft Patches are properly installed, I will then switch on (!) Monitor Program Install & Monitor Program Start again to be protected again! An AV scan of my systemdrive at least is advisable after having had protection temporarily off! So for me, I am not really missing EXIT/QUIT//PAUSE or SUSPEND button. WacoJohn
Hi WacoJohn,S I agree with you! Yes, we do agree. Even MS Security Essentials ... suspending it requires 6 clicks .. 1 on icon, 1 on OPEN, 1 on SETTINGS tab, 1 on REALTIME PROTECTION, and one to uncheck the box and finally one to SAVE CHANGES. It and all others should have a 1 click step .. mouse over icon, left click on EXIT ... or something close to that.

ritchie58
You can disable Immunet by turning off everything manually in the settings but I agree with WacoJohn & Sweidre. It would be nice if the system tray icon had a right click menu disable function or something along that line.

Hi, Even if it is possible to disable/enable Immunet by changing two general settings between off & on, it is advisable & more convenient to add this option to the list when right-clicking the Immunet icon in the systemtray! Additional proposal: When Immunet is disabled (temporarily only, I hope!) it should be nice, if the Immunet icon turned from the normal light-blue color into a yellow color as a warning or an attention only! When enabled again, the color of the Immunet icon should have turned back to its normal light-blue color again. Cheers, sweidre

Cheers, sweidre Hi, If we will consider to add info into the Immunet icon in the system tray, these forgotten threads should be looked into at the same time, so that changes/additions to the Immunet systemtray icon can be made at the same time: 1. "More Info In System Tray Icon" http://forum.immunet..._4522#entry4522 2. "Icon In Taskbar " http://forum.immunet..._4320#entry4320 Cheers, sweidre PS. The current thread could be grouped together with the other two above into one subcategory called "System Tray Icon" under the main category: "Ideas"! DS. ritchie58
That is such a good idea if the right-click Disable/Enable option was incorporated into the menu to have the system tray icon change in some way to remind the user that Immunet Protect is disabled. Greatly minimizing the chance that a user might forget and go unprotected.
alarntson
This function has been requested for a long time and is still missing from the program. Seems like a simple request and would be much more convenient when doing installs. Please implement this useful feature!

Seems like a simple request and would be much more convenient when doing installs. Please implement this useful feature! There needs to be a 'super' convenient way to submit suspected FP's, to one 'pool' too. It's a royal pain to do it from what I have experienced. sweidre
Hi admins, Now it is upon time to go from IDEA to IMPLEMENTATION! Cheers, sweidre
colinspraggs
I cannot support this idea enough. Other AV products offer the facility because it is an intolerable pain to have to undertake all this trouble to access vital (sometimes) updates to essential programs on PCs and laptops. Today would be not too soon!!!
slav0nic
any news about this?
ritchie58
Hello slav0nic and welcome to the Immunet Forum, I too still think it's a good idea to add these features to the System Tray icon in a future build. However to avoid any conflicts and speed things up a bit while installing/updating known, trusted software (for instance, Microsoft Windows updates) all you really have to do is go into Settings and temporarily disable "Monitor Program Install" and "Blocking Mode" before starting the installation/updating process. Just don't forget to re-enable these features afterwards as these are an integral part of how Immunet protects you. Another idea would be to include just an "Install Mode" where Monitor Program Install & Blocking Mode are enabled/disabled from the System Tray icon. That would be a pretty cool feature to have I think. Regards, Ritchie...
