Snaga_54
I was going to uninstall Immunet and reinstall. But when I clicked to uninstall from "Program and Features" I immediately got 26 viruses detected and thrown into quarentine. Then a dialog box saying the uninstall failed. I tried manually selecting the uninstall program and it told me the same thing. SO I figured to try and just reinstall over the old copy, you know like a "repair" install and it won't since there is a current copy on the machine. Then having logged in as Administrator it told me that I could not delete the file folder since I was not the administrator. So how do I uninstall it so I can reinstall it. ritchie58
Here are staff member Orlando's instructions on how to remove Immunet if you run into trouble: 1- Uninstall Immunet Protect normally (with its uninstaller), if there are some problem (or appear on the screen some error about the uninstaller) with the normal uninstaller process pass to the 3° step; 2- At the two questions choose "yes" in both; ---computer is restarting--- 3- Leave to restart computer normally; 4- Download Immunet Protect Removal tool 1.0.3.00; 5- Run it and in the end computer restart automatically with a notice in 60 seconds. Harry, the Immunet Removal Tool you can download here.

Harry, the Immunet Removal Tool you can download here. Hi Ritchie, I clicked on here., and I tried to donload the "Immunet Protect Removal Tool 1.0.3.00.exe (106 kB) from there, but my Emsisoft Anti-Malware popped up and my computer hanged. I rebooted and disactivated Emsisoft Anti-Malware (I both love & hate this software). I clicked on here., and now I could download the file to my Z-drive (USB-port), but then found it to be empty. (This procedure I did 3 times; the file was downloaded, but not found, not by my search software "Search Everything" neither) I mean, April fool's day we have already passed, so that must be something strange with this file. (Downloaded successfully but vanished immediately!) Cheers, sweidre PS. I have now downloaded to my D:\ (fixed HD), but when opening the D-drive it is gone. I throw in the towel, and I give up!!! I do not need the file just now, but the file must be visable, right? DS PS2. No, I am not for the moment using Sandboxie or Returnil layer, if somebody thought that! Please, add here more informations about the error code or a screenshot, Orlando Hi Orlando, I clicked on your here. above and got to a page of yours, where there was a link, that lead to same download site, as when I clicked on Ritches' here. I downloaded to my computer, but when I checked in the computer the file had disappeared! Strange indeed! I have Emsisoft already inactivated. But I have more security softwares activated online: ESET Smart Security (Firewall+AV+Spamfilter), Immunet Free (no Clam or Tetra), SuperAntispyware Pro, Malwarebytes' AntiMalware Pro, CallingID Link Advisor, & WinPatrol. The file got downloaded, because I saw the progress of the downloading in my Slimbrowser, but disappeared without any notice at all! I do not need the file just now! I wanted just to have it downloaded into my computer, so I have it when needed! No error code, nothing! I cannot produce a screenshot of something, that has disappeared! Do you think, that the file downloaded, disappeared because I have 64-bit Win 7 Pro SP1! Maybe the file was not compatible with 64-bit? Just a guess of mine! sweidre
Immunet keep it as virus, try to disable it first. Orlando The file "Immunet Protect Removal Tool 1.0.3.00.exe" is not in the Quarantine of Immunet, where I have only the file from PCTools in several copies, but it was a FP, no problem. Where is the file "Immunet Protect Removal Tool 1.0.3.00.exe"?? I cannot disable a file, that I have not seen, only that Slimbrowser downloaded it. sweidre
Hi Orlando, I have downloaded the file "Immunet Protect Removal Tool 1.0.3.00.exe" 106 kB to 100% according to the log of Slimbrowser 4 times now, but all 4 have disappeared immediately after downloading. My computer & OS is 64-bit. 64-bit OS accepts 32-bits softwares, but if the file contains a 16-bit part, the whole file will be rejected! (Incompatible)! sweidre
Have you tried with another browser? Orlando Hi Orlando, File: Immunet Protect Removal Tool 1.0.3.00.exe 106 kB This file is really dangerous, at least for my computer Win 7 Pro SP1 64-bit (Swedish version). Now, I will tell you, step by step: 1.) The first time I downloaded this file my Emsisoft Anti-Malware hanged directly. 2.) I thought, that it was a problem with Emsisoft (very often it reports FPs, but computer hang (soft crash) is not normal for Emsisoft.) OK, I disabled its systemtray shield (but I forgot its service file: Emsisoft Anti-Malware 5.0 - Service). So its system file was running all the time, but the systemtray file shield was off!) 3.) I downloded "Immunet Protect Removal Tool 1.0.3.00.exe" several times using Slimbrowser, but after downloading they disappeared every time. 4.) Now, I understand, that Emsisoft quarantined the file every time (see attached screenshot), because the Emsisofts service file was still working. 5.) OK, I put "Immunet Protect Removal Tool 1.0.3.00.exe" on the whitelist (= exclusion list), so Emsisoft will ignore the file in the future. 6.) I downloaded again the file: "Immunet Protect Removal Tool 1.0.3.00.exe", but now Immunet popped up a warning above the tray (I forgot to take a screenshot!) 7.) I looked into the quarantine of Immunet and found that the file: "Immunet Protect Removal Tool 1.0.3.00.exe" was placed there. 8.) I highlighted the file and clicked on the button "Restore". 9.) The restoration from the quarantine really crashed my computer with a blue screen with a lot of text, saying something that the OS was in danger! So therefore I got this blue screen to save my computer. 10.) I restarted the computer, OK with a message, that a serious incident has occured! 11.) Now, it seems, that my computer is OK, but the file:"Immunet Protect Removal Tool 1.0.3.00.exe", is really dangerous for my computer (64-bit). Cheers, sweidre PS. No problem with the browser: "Slimbrowser"! DS
Guest Orlando
Hi, The file is clean, but the error is caused by the many security programs together. All your security software detect it as a malware, but it is not (I have the dos code, but I don't want to publish), so together crash the system. This file is the fuse to crash the system if you use too much security products, now I'll report this file to all security firms who detect it as malware. Guest Orlando
Because ESET, Immunet, Emsisoft Anti-Malware 5.0, SuperAntispyware and Malwarebytes (I think) detect it in the same moment as virus, so the system is crashed. Orlando

No problem with the browser: "Slimbrowser"! DS Hi, My attempts to get hold of the file:"Immunet Protect Removal Tool 1.0.3.00.exe", was my own fault! I was warned several times by Emsisoft Anti-Malware & by Immunet Protect, who both quarantined the file as malicious, and still I treated the file as "clean" and restored it from qurantine! Of course, I got a blue screen! I never got any blue screen since I purchased my computer in last July and installed Win 7 Pro (64-bit) and the antimalware shields. My conclusion: Do not accept any files or not visit any sites, that are warned to be malicious!!! (Fortunately, I had a fresh Norton Ghost Image File of my systemdrive, so my computer is now 100% clean again) Cheers, sweidre
Guest Orlando
Yes, because in the past it's probably that only one antimalware block the threat, here now all block it causing crash. Orlando
