snedekercw
Can the definition updates for Immunet be made manually? First downloading the update then installing it in the program? Cliff

I just had to reinstall the product on my laptop at work. I didn't have internet access, so not only did it not install,I was wondering if I went home to reinstall it, if manual updates for definitions would be available once I was back at work. ritchie58
If Immunet has internet access at your workplace then updating shouldn't be a problem unless the Immunet update server has been blocked by your company sever. You could check with your IT department as most company servers already have security software in place. If your place of business does not use a server then no problem there. All anti-virus solutions require an internet connection to download the latest definitions to keep up to date. Immunet's cloud updates are automatic. You can, in the settings, disable automatic updates for the ClamAV engine and update manually. As far as downloading the latest definitions on, let's say, a flash drive and manually installing them into Immunet, like you can do with some AV's such as Avira, I don't think Immunet has that functionality. ritchie58
Hi lala, some firewalls require that you manually open and/or allow for incoming/outgoing traffic to certain ports for Immunet to function properly. I believe this is what you're seeing with your Untangle Firewall. Please read this FAQ topic, it has important information about which ports to open for Immunet. http://forum.immunet...-your-firewall/ Regards, Ritchie... lalalalalala
I use NAT, and Untangle not block port, only blaclisted site and executable file. I need IP to add in white list.
ritchie58
Hi lala, I don't have that info myself but you could email Support to ask what the addresses are. The Support email is: support@immunet.com. This is just my own personal opinion but I would not use a firewall that does not have the ability to create custom port filtering rule sets. Maybe this software is the best thing to come along since sliced bread but that still wouldn't change my mind since it lacks, again, in my opinion, this necessary function. Regards, Ritchie...
